About Advocacy Day

Strong families are the foundation of a strong economy. Yet too many working families continue to face barriers to securing the essentials they need to thrive, including affordable child care, food, housing, and mental health services. When families cannot access these supports, it affects their ability to work, care for their children, and build financial stability.

On February 24, statewide and community partners, family child care providers, parents, and advocates will bring community voices and statewide expertise directly to policymakers. We will advocate for:

  • Sustainable child care funding
  • Stronger safety net programs
  • Coordinated, accessible supports that meet the needs of the whole family

We will call for solutions that strengthen the community-based organizations families trust, make better use of existing resources, and ensure California’s investments reach the families who need them most.
