Whole Child Whole Family Listening Session, December 18th
Friday, December 18, 2020, 1:00 PM - 3:00 PM PDT
Category: Events

Greetings stakeholders,

On December 18th from 1:00 pm to 3:00 pm our fourth child care transfer listening session will focus on how we can make child care and social safety net programs more responsive, effective and easier for families to navigate by embracing a whole child and whole family  approach.

As your state partners, we acknowledge that comprehensive and multi-generational approaches focused on the social determinants of health, mitigating adverse childhood experiences, creating strong economic and social safety-net supports and access to quality early learning and care can reduce poverty while improving the well-being of children and their families. We are committed to examining ways to provide targeted, comprehensive and immediate safety-net, educational, and health services to all children and families experiencing economic hardship and ensuring that diverse provider and parent voices are key in design and implementation.

We invite all partners to provide feedback about current models and reforms necessary to integrate a whole child and whole family approach into child care service delivery. We hope to identify both immediate considerations for the transfer and longer-term proposals to consider and implement post July 2021.

We want these listening sessions to be inclusive for non-English speakers and for those who live with disabilities. Please let us know by Tuesday, December 15, if you need live interpretation services or other accommodations.

Please register for the whole child whole family listening session here.
