Good afternoon,

This email serves to announce the CalHR Childcare Providers Labor Relations Monthly Forum for state parties, including state departments, contractors, and political subdivisions that administer in-home family child care state-funded early care and educations programs.  This forum is being convened and established by CalHR to serve as a venue for all parties to connect regularly to discuss trends, receive training, and address matters collaboratively that are directly related to the Building a Better Early Care and Education System (Welfare and Institutions Code sections 10420-10429.5). 

We respectfully request that you please hold the date Tuesday, May 14^th, from 10am to noon for our first ever monthly.  A future communication will be sent with a link to join this virtual forum and an agenda.  Items we expect to cover in our initial meeting include an introduction to the forum, a discussion about future dates, and a discussion regarding how to establish a forum leadership structure.  It is my hope that representatives of the field will be selected via self-nomination and elected by the contractors and counties to serve in a leadership capacity alongside CalHR and state department representatives to collaboratively set agendas and steer the objectives of the forum that will be responsive to contractors and counties. 

This forum in only for the staff and representatives of including state departments, contractors, and political subdivisions that administer in-home family child care state-funded early care and educations programs.  This forum is not for members of the public, family child care providers, or representatives of the union.
